These&nbsp;activities are the first step for preparing the qualification campaign that will take place during 2020.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Team members of the UCM AEGORA group and personnel from SENER company visited Photek premises in November this year and checked these activities&nbsp;in place.&nbsp;The FCU MCP detector transforms incoming UV photons into optical&nbsp;photons that are detected by a fast and configurable CMOS device.&nbsp;The development of this UV instrumentation represents an important technological challenge because it requires optics of nanometric precision and specific detectors with a strict control of any contamination.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The UCM is supervising the scientific aspects of the&nbsp;Far-Ultraviolet channel of the FCU, developing the necessary processing algorithms and&nbsp;coordinating the industrial activities within the overall instruments definition and integration with INASAN and others Russian partners.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4cdb35d e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"4cdb35d\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_ha_eqh_enable&quot;:false}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-996d824 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"996d824\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/147.96.46.35:10065\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/FCU_optical_mechanical_unit_news.jpg\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f567eb5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f567eb5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p style=\"text-align: center; font-size: 10px;\">3D image of the Spektr-UF \/ WSO-UV Field Camera Unit (FCU).
